Hewitt-Trussville senior Corey Goguts has been named the Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA) Miss Softball, recognizing her as the top softball player in the state of Alabama.

Goguts helped lead the Huskies to the 2026 Class 7A State Championship and capped off one of the most accomplished careers in program history. Her outstanding performance at the plate, leadership on and off the field, and dedication to the game made her a deserving choice for Alabama's highest individual softball honor.

Corey leaves Hewitt-Trussville as a state champion, record-setter, and role model for future Huskies. She was named the Gatorade Player of the Year and selected to the Super All State Team.
