HT Baseball Honored on All-State Team
 
The Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA) released the All-State Baseball team on Saturday. Jace Riggan was named first team and was the 7A Pitcher of the Year. Riggan had an 8-3 record this season and a 1.05 ERA. He threw three shutouts and struck out 80 batters on the season.
 
Cale McIntosh was a second team selection. He was the winning pitcher in the state championship game and finished with an 8-0 record on the mound. He had a 1.25 ERA on the season and held opponents to a .196 batting average. Hudson Mitchell was also named second team. He had a .396 batting average this season. Mitchell drove in 40 runs and scored 22 runs.
 
Head Coach Jeff Mauldin was named the 7A Coach of the Year. Mauldin led the Huskies to the 2026 state championship. His career record is 789-236-1 and his record at Hewitt-Trussville is 395-123-1.
