HT Softball Honored on All-State Team
 
The Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA) released the All-State Team on Thursday. The Huskies finished the year with a 49-10-1 overall record and won the 7A State Championship.
 
Hewitt-Trussville's Corey Goguts was named First Team All-State and 7A Hitter of the Year. Goguts was honored last week as the Gatorade State Player of the Year. This season, she hit .618 and belted 29 home runs. Harper Looney was also named First Team All-State. Looney pitched the state championship game and was named the tournament MVP. Outfielder Presley Hull and Third Baseman Erin Coleman were also named First Team All-State after tremendous seasons.
 
Head Coach Taylor Burt was named the 7A Coach of the Year. Under Burt's leadership, the Huskies have won five state titles and played in the championship game six times since 2019.
