FINAL: The Huskies are one win away from the Blue Map! 

Hewitt-Trussville softball opened the AHSAA 7A State Championship Series with an 11-0 win over Thompson on Thursday night. Harper Looney tossed a complete-game shutout, allowing just two hits over five innings.

The Huskies racked up 13 hits in the victory, led by Erin Coleman, Presley Hull, Kylie Grace Hendrick, Emily Renda, and Hannah Claire Miller with two hits each. Coleman, Hull, and Hendrick each drove in three runs, while Corey Goguts reached base three times and stole two bases.
