Wrestling Wins Region Match at Hoover

Hewitt-Trussville Wrestling earned a big Region win on the road Thursday night, defeating Hoover 56–18.

The Huskies jumped out to a dominant 30–0 lead, winning the first five matches by pin. Those early victories came from William Hodgin, Gavin Bittle, Trevon McCown, Karl Schutz, and Rivers Harbison.

Asher Wiram later added a win by decision. After Hoover claimed the next three matches, Trip Cole responded with a decisive 17–1 victory. The Huskies closed out the night strong with pins from Cash Mitros, Braxton Reaves, and Zane Jones to seal the Region win.

Hewitt-Trussville will be back in action on Monday at Bryant Bank Arena, hosting Vestavia and Oak Mountain.
