Hewitt-Trussville Wrestling traveled to Huntsville over the weekend for the 2026 AHSAA State Tournament. The Huskies finished 6th out of 32 teams. Trip Cole won the state championship in the 175lb division defeating his opponent 7-1 in the championship match. Cole scored 23.5 team points for the week.

William Hodgin placed 5th at 106 and scored 15 team points. Gavin Bittle placed 2nd at 113 and scored 22 team points. Karl Schutz scored three team points. Rivers Harbison placed 5th at 132 and scored eight team points. Ian Hodgin placed 3rd and scored 16 team points.

Asher Wiram scored 6.5 team points. Jaxon Jones scored seven team points. Braxton Reaves placed 4th at 215 and scored 16 team points.
