The Hewitt-Trussville Girls Golf team finished in 1st place on Monday at the AHSAA 7A Section 3 Tournament. The Huskies hosted the event at Limestone Springs. HT finished the event at +15 and won by 13 shots. The top two teams from the event qualified for next week's AHSAA 7A Sub-State Tournament. 

Merritt Daniel was the low medalist for the event as she fired a round of 73. Kiersten Riggins tied for 2nd individually as she shot a 74. Morgan Hopper and Emma Bark both shot a 84 to tie for 7th overall. 

The Huskies will travel to Huntsville next week for the Sub-State event. The top two teams will advance to the AHSAA State Tournament.
