Hewitt-Trussville Softball improved to 32-2-1 overall on the season and 4-1 in 7A Area 6 play with a 9-0 win over Oak Mountain Tuesday night. The Huskies will close Area play on April 20 with a home game vs Vestavia.

Crystal Maze put HT on the board in the second inning Tuesday with a solo homerun to right-center field. Coach Taylor Burt's team would add another run in the inning to take a 2-0 lead. Katelyn Murphy hit a homerun two innings later to stretch the lead. Kenleigh Cahalan drove in two more runs in the inning as the Huskies went up 5-0. Crystal Maze homered later in the game for her second long-ball of the night.

Sara Phillips was dominant on the mound as she pitched a complete game and allowed just one hit. Phillips struck out eight Eagle batters.
