Softball Wins Thriller Over Vestavia; Advances to State Tournament
 
Hewitt-Trussville Softball beat Vestavia 8-7 on a dramatic walk off hit Monday afternoon. Emily Renda doubled with two outs in the bottom of the 7^th inning with the game tied 7-7. Hannah Claire Milelr then delivered a clutch single to right field that scored Renda and set off the celebration. The Huskies have now advanced to the AHSAA 7A State Tournament that will be held in Oxford May 20-21.
 
Miller had three hits and two RBI's for the Huskies. Cate Bruce and Emily Renda added two hits each. Corey Goguts, Presley Hull, and Erin Coleman all had an RBI. Harper Looney picked up the win in the circle as she tossed 1.2 scoreless innings. The Huskies are now 43-9-1 on the season.
