Hewitt-Trussville Softball improved to 14-1 overall and 1-0 in 7A Area 6 play with a 2-1 win over Spain Park Thursday night. The Huskies got a terrific performance from Tori Hyde in the circle. Hyde pitched a complete game and gave up just one run on six hits. 

Jenna Lord put the Huskies on the board in the first inning with a home run to left field. The Jaguars would tie the game 1-1 with a homer in the third inning. The game remained deadlocked until the final inning.

Crystal Maze doubled to center field with one out in the 7th inning. Then, with two outs, Rylee Tyree doubled on a line drive to left field to score Maze. Anyce Harvey finished 2-3 with two stolen bases.
