Girls Soccer Picks up Key Area Win
 
The Hewitt-Trussville Girls Soccer team defeated Hoover 1-0 on Tuesday night in a key 7A Area 6 match. The Huskies improved to 13-2-2 on the season and 2-2 in 7A Area 6 play.
 
The Huskies controlled much of the play in the first half, but neither team was able to find the back of the net. With 28 minutes to go in the match, Lauren Melton assisted Ella Cane for the winning goal. Peerson Waller was solid in goal the entire night and recorded a shutout.
 
The Huskies will host Vestavia on April 14.
