Hewitt-Trussville Softball moved to 4-0 in 7A Area 6 play on Tuesday night with a 3-1 win over Spain Park. The Huskies are now 29-6 overall on the season. HT got off to a quick start on Tuesday night scoring two runs in the 1st inning.
Olivia Faggard singled to score
Zaylen Tucker for the games' first run.
Gracie Reeves later scored to score Faggard to give the Huskies a 2-0 lead. HT would extend the lead in the 2nd inning when
Lexi Kelly scored off an error.
Kate Hicks pitched six strong innings to pick up the win. Hicks gave up one run, five hits, and struck out eight batters.
Sara Phillips had two strikeouts in the final inning to record the save.
The Huskies will return to Area play on Thursday night when they travel to Oak Mountain.
