Softball Beats Hoover to Move to 2-0 in Area Play

The Huskies picked up a big area win Tuesday night, defeating Hoover 9-3 to improve to 18-2 overall and 2-0 in 7A Area 6 play!

After falling behind 3-0 early, Hewitt-Trussville responded in a big way—scoring nine unanswered runs to take control of the game.

Rachel Reed was dominant in the circle, pitching a complete game while allowing just two earned runs, with two strikeouts and no walks.

Offensively, the Huskies chipped away early with single runs in the 1st, 2nd, and 4th innings to tie things up before breaking it open in the 5th:

Chloe Krackenberger added a strong performance at the plate with three hits and an RBI.

The Huskies are back in action Thursday as they take on Vestavia in another key area matchup!
