Softball Moves to 2-0 in Area Play

Hewitt-Trussville Softball won its 14th consecutive game on Thursday night to move to 17-4 overall on the season. The Huskies defeated Chelsea 13-0 and are now 2-0 in 7A Area 6 play. Sara Phillips pitched a no-hitter and struck out 12 batters. Phillips allowed just one walk and 56 of her 77 pitches were strikes. 

The HT offense scored multiple runs in the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th innings. Hannah Dorsett was 2-3 and scored twice. Zaylen Tucker had two hits, two RBI's, and scored twice. Olivia Faggard had two hits and drove in a run. Sara Phillips had two hits, including a home run, and drove in a pair of runs. Ryleigh Wood had two hits and two RBI's. Makaila Hope homered for the Huskies.

HT will be in action next week at the Gulf Coast Classic in Gulf Shores.
