Hewitt-Trussville Softball improved to 7-2-1 on the season with a 6-3 win over Central Phenix City Thursday night.
Kate Hicks picked up the win as she pitched 4 2/3 innings allowing four hits and two runs.
Zaylen Tucker and
Sara Phillips closed out the game in the circle.
Riley Tyree had a hit and drove in two runs.
Kenleigh Cahalan,
Olivia Stults,
Rubie Simon, and
Ana Henson all had a RBI.
The Huskies will be hosting the Hewitt Invitational this weekend. Games will be played on Friday and Saturday at Goldie Paine Field and the Trussville Softball Complex. HT plays Cherokee County at 3pm and Helena at 8pm on Friday.
