Hewitt-Trussville Softball improved to 24-1-1 overall on the year and 3-0 in 7A Area 6 play with a 5-0 win over Vestavia Hills Thursday night. The Huskies plated three runs in the 5th inning and added two runs in the 6th inning. Sarah Hindman pitched a complete game for the Huskies. Hindman only gave up four hits and struck out four batters.

HT got on the board in the 5th inning. Rubie Simon and Hannah Dorsett singled to reach base. Kenleigh Cahalan then tripled to drive them both in. Jenna Lord followed with a single to drive in Cahalan. In the 6th inning, Hannah Dorsett singled to center to score Madi Mitchell and Rubie Simon.

The Huskies will be back in action this weekend as they travel to the Oxford Spring Sting event.
