Hewitt-Trussville Softball improved to 8-0 overall on the season with a 5-1 win over Bob Jones Thursday night. The game was held at Wallace State. The Huskies got off to a quick start scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning.
Kenleigh Cahalan started the rally with a triple to left field.
Jenna Lord followed with a single to drive home Cahalan.
Crystal Maze then doubled to score Lord.
Anyce Harvey got the final RBI of the inning as she singled.
After Bob Jones cut the lead to 3-1, the Huskies scored two more runs in the 6th inning. Harvey drove in Lord with a single, Then,
Rubie Simon had a bunt hit to score Harvey.
Sarah Hindman got the win in the circle as she allowed just four hits in seven innings of work.
The Huskies will host Moody on Monday.Â
