The Hewitt-Trussville offense started the 2021 season with a bang as they scored 10 runs in the first inning on their way to a 17-7 win over Mortimer Jordan.
Kenleigh Cahalan and
Rylee Tyree both hit two home runs in the contest. Cahalan's second homer was a grand slam to cap the scoring in the first inning.
The HT offense pounded out 16 hits and scored in all but one inning.
Anyce Harvey went a perfect 4-4 at the plate and drove in two runs. Harvey also scored four times. Cahalan finished 3-4 on the night and had six RBI. Tyree was 3-4 and knocked in five runs.Â
The Huskies will be back in action this weekend as they travel to Phenix City for the Sidney Cooper Invitational.Â
