Coach Tonya Hunter's Girls Basketball team avenged an early season loss on Friday night when they defeated Park Crossing 47-41. The Thunderbirds handed the Huskies a one-point loss in November. Friday's win was the 10th of the season for the Huskies.

Jordan Hunter scored 17 points to lead the Huskies. She also added six rebounds and five assists. Chrischandria James shot 80% from the field as she added eight points. James also collected eight rebounds. Audre Benson had six points and seven rebounds.

Hewitt-Trussville will host Hoover on Tuesday night. The Huskies and Bucs will tip off at 6pm. Tuesday's contest is a rematch of last year's 7A state championship game that was played at UAB in March.
