Noah Igbinoghene, a 2017 Hewitt-Trussville graduate, was selected in the first round of the NFL draft Thursday night by the Miami Dolphins. Igbinoghene becomes the second Husky player to be selected in the NFL draft all-time. Jay Barker was taken in the 1995 NFL draft. 

During his Senior season at HT in 2016, Igbinoghene helped lead the Huskies to a 11-1 record and a state quarterfinal appearance. He rushed for 751 yards on 94 carries and scored ten rushing touchdowns for Coach Josh Floyd's team. He also had 55 receptions for 712 yards and eight touchdowns. For the season, he racked up 1,710 all-purpose yards. In his Junior season in 2016, Igbinoghene scored seven touchdowns and had 867 all-purpose yards.

Igbinoghene's high school football accolades included being named All-USA Today First team, and ASWA 7A First Team. He was also a participant in the Alabama-Mississpippi All-Star Game.

Igbinoghene also starred in Track and Field for the Huskies under Coach David Dobbs. 

 Igbinoghene went on to play for Auburn University. In 2017, he played as a true freshman contributing as a wide receiver and on special teams. In 2018, Igbinoghene made the switch to defense and started at cornerback where he racked up 50 tackles and broke up 11 passes. He was named SEC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Arkansas. During his Junior season in 2019, Igbinoghene had 42 tackles and broke up seven passes. He started at cornerback and on special teams. His 96-yard kickoff return for touchdown vs Minnesota set an Auburn Bowl record. 

While at Auburn, Igbinoghene also competed on the Tiger Track and Field team. During the 2018 Indoor season, he finished 7th in the Triple Jump and 18th in the Long Jump at the SEC Championships. In the 2018 Outdoor season, he finished 4th in the Long Jump at the War Eagle Invitational.
