Cross Country Has Strong Start to 2026 Season
Hewitt-Trussville Cross Country traveled to the Memphis Twilight XC Classic on Saturday night.
The HT Girls finished 6
th out of 44 teams. The Huskies finished as the top team from Alabama.
Mary Durham was the top finisher for the Huskies as she placed 8
th overall with a time of 18:51.
Hadley Turner was 38
th overall with a time of 20:12.
Leah Anderson was 53
rd overall with a time of 20:39.
Elizabeth King finished 68
th out of 345 runners with a time of 21:14.
Elise Hansen also scored for the team with a time of 22:13.
The HT Boys finished 8
th out of 56 teams.
Noah Jordan was the top Husky Finisher placing 2
nd overall with a time of 15:39.
Stewart Nelms was 41
st overall with a time of 16:54.
Wyatt Moyer was 73rd overall with a time of 17:31.
James Watson was 83
rd overall with a time of 17:34.
Laine Walker also scored for the team as he finished in 17:46. A total of 434 runners competed in the Boys' race.
