Girls 1st • Boys 3rd at XC Sectional Meet

The Hewitt-Trussville Cross Country teams are state bound after outstanding performances at Thursday's AHSAA 7A Section 3 Meet.

Girls Team – 1st Place
The Lady Huskies brought home the sectional championship, edging Vestavia by just one point.

• Hadley Turner – 2nd overall (19:22.65)

• Mary Durham – 3rd overall (19:24.53)

• Natalie Wiram – 11th overall

• Evelyn Robertson – 16th overall

• Leah Anderson – 19th overall

Boys Team – 3rd Place
The Huskies also punched their ticket to state with a strong team performance.

• Noah Jordan – 4th overall (16:34.07)

• John Paul Amari – 9th overall (16:49.14)

• Stewart Nelms, Laine Walker, and Gabriel Knox rounded out team scoring.

Next stop: AHSAA State Meet in Moulton on November 8.
