Volleyball Posts Impressive Finish at Boddie
 
Hewitt-Trussville Volleyball advanced to the semifinals of the Juanita Boddie Tournament over the weekend. It was the best finish ever for the Huskies in the event. This year's tournament featured 80 teams.
 
The Huskies went 3-1 in pool play with wins over James Clemens, Lawrence County, and Robertsdale. HT lost to Valor College Prep (TN). In bracket play, the Huskies eliminated Mountain Brook, Austin, and Homewood before falling to McGill Toolen.
 
For the week, Kayleigh Nguyen had 131 assists, 33 digs, 28 kills, seven aces, and seven blocks. Johnna Cox had 76 kills, 10 digs, nine aces, and three blocks. Christiana Callens had 41 digs and four aces. Tenley Santiago had 15 aces.
 
The Huskies will travel to Oak Mountain on Tuesday for a matchup with the Eagles.
