Boys Soccer Rallies to Win at Hoover
The Hewitt-Trussville Boys Soccer team improved to 11-2-6 overall and 3-1 in 7A Area 6 with a 2-1 win at Hoover on Tuesday night. The Huskies were unable to find the back of the net in the first half and trailed 1-0 at halftime.
The Huskies tied the match with a set piece cross from
Brennan Greer which dropped to
Andrew Bell in the box who finished it with a half volley. Nine minutes later,
Jason Merriweather sent the ball wide to
Stephen Delfin who sent a first touch cross toward Greer, only to be deflected by a Buc defender into the net.
The Huskies will host Vestavia on April 14 in another Area match.
