The Hewitt-Trussville Girls Basketball team defeated Oak Mountain 50-26 on Friday night. The Huskies improved to 14-10 overall and 2-2 in 7A Area 6. The first half was dominated by tough defense from both teams. HT held a 17-10 lead going into halftime. The Husky offense caught fire in the second half scoring 33 points an extending the lead. Lauryn Holely scored 20 points and Ryleigh Martin added 13 points.

The Huskies will finish up Area play this week with a pair of games. HT will travel to Vestavia on Wednesday before hosting Hoover on Friday.
