Hewitt-Trussville Volleyball defeated Grissom 3-0 in the Area opener on Thursday night. The Huskies are now 6-3 overall and 1-0 in 7A Area 7. The Huskies won the three sets by the scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-16.
 
Kayleigh Nguyen led the Huskies with 28 assists, 13 digs, three kills, two blocks, and one ace.
Johnna Cox and Reese Wolfe led the offense with 12 kills and 11 kills, respectively. Cox also added five digs and four aces.
 
The Huskies will be back in action on Tuesday as they host Spain Park.
