Hewitt-Trussville Senior Grayson Pope was honored on Monday night at the 40th annual Bryant-Jordan Awards Banquet. Pope was nominated for the student-athlete achievement award and was selected as the Area winner and later the Sectional winner. On Monday night, Pope was named the overall 7A winner for the prestigious award. 

The award recognizes a student that participates in a sport and has done well academically while overcoming some unusual hardship. Pope has been a member of the Hewitt-Trussville Baseball team for the last four years and will attend the University of Tennessee this fall.
