The Hewitt-Trussville Girls Golf team opened the 2025 season this week at the March Madness Tournament at Hoover Country Club. The Huskies finished 2nd out of 21 teams in the event. HT shot a round of +9 on Tuesday in windy conditions to secure the lowest score of the day among all teams. 

A total of 91 players competed in the event and the Huskies had three players finish in the top-10 individually. Merritt Daniel was +8 for the tournament and finished tied for 4th overall. Daniel made three birdies on Tuesday and shot a 75. Emma Bark was +9 for the event and finished tied for 8th overall. She made four birdies on Tuesday as part of her second round 76. Kiersten Riggins was +11 overall and finished tied for 10th. Riggins shot a 37 on both the front and back sides on Tuesday.

The Huskies will be back in action next Monday at the Prattville Invitational.
