The Hewitt-Trussville Boys Basketball team improved to 17-8 overall on the season with a 50-39 7A Area 6 win over Oak Mountain Friday night. The Huskies jumped out to a quick 10-3 lead before the Eagles closed the gap at the end of the 1st quarter. The Huskies led by just one point at halftime. The HT defense held the Eagles to five points in the 3rd quarter as the lead grew to nine points. 

Colt Wells was perfect from the foul line Friday night and scored 14 points. Dave Carter scored nine points in the second half and finished with 13 points. Ben Warren hit a pair of three-point shots and finished with eight points.

The Huskies will be back at home on Saturday for a 3pm contest against Moody. Vestavia will visit Bryant Bank Arena Tuesday night for the final Area game of the year.
