7A Section 3 Tennis play got underway on Thursday as the Huskies won over Thompson. Both the HT Boys and HT Girls won by 9-0 final scores. The HT Boys are now 5-1 overall on the season and the HT Girls are 4-2 overall.
In Boys' singles play,
Nolan Armstrong,
Carter Jordan,
Griffin Greenhaw,
Blake Woods,
Seth Bollinger, and
Kyle Jones all picked up wins. In doubles play, Armstrong/Greenhaw,
Tyler Maronge/Woods, and Bollinger/Jordan swept the Warriors.
On the Girls' side,
Ann Claire Bryant,
Allie Claire Monski,
Riley Edwards,
Kate Armstrong,
Riley Austin, and
Eden Christian all won in singles play. The duos of Edwards/Bryant, Monski/Armstrong, and Austin/Christian swept in doubles as well.
The Huskies will travel to Tuscaloosa on Friday for another Section match against Tuscaloosa County as well as a matchup with Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa.
