Hewitt-Trussville Wrestling went a perfect 5-0 in dual matches on Wednesday to win the Patrick Aaron Memorial Duals event. The Huskies swept through the preliminary round by beating Auburn 47-24, Jasper 79-0, and Sparkman 59-17. In the opening round of the championship bracket, the Huskies defeated Arab 52-22.
In the championship match, the Huskies faced off with Enterprise.
Riley Hulwi opened the match with a 3-1 win.
Cooper Pelham and
Bradley Hastings then had pins to give the Huskies 12 additional team points. After
Jack Besse won by forfeit,
Jaxon Jones and
Deuce Alston collected wins.
Braxton Reaves,
William Hodgin, and
Rivers Harbison won matches as the Huskies collected a 46-19 win.
The Huskies will be back in action on December 3 as they travel to Mountain Brook for a dual match.
