Hewitt-Trussville Boys Soccer went 2-1 this weekend as they opened the season at the Lakeshore Shootout. The Huskies faced strong competition playing against three other 7A teams.

HT opened the season with a 2-1 win over Austin. Parker Green scored a goal off an assist from Seth Walker. Brooks Bilodeau also found the back of the new getting an assist from Jason Merriweather. Later Friday night, the Huskies moved to 2-0 on the season with a 1-0 win over Hoover. Parker Briggs scored the only goal of the game off a free kick.

The Huskies dropped a 1-0 contest to Vestavia on Saturday to finish the event.

HT will play at home for the first time on Tuesday when they host Leeds at 7pm.
