HT Girls Basketball moved to 2-0 overall on the season with a 55-41 win over Pelham in the home opener Thursday night. The Huskies allowed just 11 points in the first half as they ran to a 27-11 halftime lead. Ashlyn Howard was 7-11 from the field and scored a game-high 20 points. Howard also pulled down 15 rebounds. Jordan Hunter also scored in double figures as she netted 11 points. Hunter added eight assists.

The Huskies will be in action again Friday morning when they travel to meet Saint James at 10:30am. Coach Tonya Hunter's team will travel to Montgomery again on Saturday for a pair of games with Montgomery Catholic and Pell City.
