Hewitt-Trussville improved to 2-0 in 7A Area 6 play with a 4-2 win over Vestavia on Thursday afternoon. HT is now 13-2-1 overall on the season.

Taylor Burt's team got off to a quick start as
Riley Tyree singled home
Sara Phillips in the first inning to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead. The lead would expand in the 3rd inning as the Huskies plated a pair of runs.
Kenleigh Cahalan doubled and
Hannah Dorsett walked to open the inning.
Riley Rudick reached on a error as Cahalan scored.
Riley Tyree then grounded out to score Dorsett.
Sara Phillips singled home another run on the 4th inning to give HT a 4-1 lead.
Next week, the Huskies will travel to Gulf Shores for the Gulf Coast Classic.
