Girls Basketball Moves to 2-0 in Area Play

Hewitt-Trussville defeated Spain Park 55-43 on Tuesday night inside Bryant Bank Arena to move to 2-0 in 7A Area 6 play. The Huskies are now 18-3 overall on the season. Jordan Hunter led the Huskies with 16 points and she also passed out six assists. Audrey Benson made six shots from the field and totaled 14 points. April Hooks also scored in double figures as she added 10 points. Chris James was dominant on the glass as she collected 10 rebounds.

The Huskies got off to a quick start on offense as they led 23-12 after the opening quarter. The Huskies extended the lead in the 3rd quarter by outscoring the Jaguars 14-4.

HT will remain in Area play on Friday night when they host Gadsden City. Tip off is set for 6pm.
