Hewitt-Trussville Cross Country completed the 2021 season on Saturday at the AHSAA State Championships in Moulton. The HT Girls finished 3rd out of 16 teams in the 7A race. The 3rd place finish tied the best finish in the history of the Girls' program at the state championships.
Sophia Knox led the way for the Huskies as she placed 13th overall with a time of 19:15.54.
Kylee Sisk joined Knox in the top-15 as she placed 15th with a time of 19:19.06.
Avery Cahoon finished 20th with a time of 19:33.04.
Maci Mills finished 21st with a time of 19:33.86.
Kinley Harris finished 27th individually with a time of 19:43.28.

The HT Boys finished 5th in the 16-team field. This was the third consecutive top-five finish for the Boys.
Mitchell Phillips paced the Huskies with a 4th place finish. Phillips finished in 15:45.71.
Tristan Teer finished 6th with a time of 15:46.49.
Rush Lachina was 43rd individually with a time of 16:40.20.
Thomas Himes finished 47th with a time of 16:43.44.
Garrett Yokeley was 69th overall with a time of 17:07.81.
