Hewitt-Trussville Cross Country tuned up for the postseason with a successful event on Thursday. The HT Girls won the team competition at the Oakville Invitational.
Kylee Sisk led the Huskies as she finished in 2nd place overall with a time of 20:26.50.
Maci Mills (3rd),
Avery Cahoon (4th), and
Sophia Knox (5th) also registered top-five finishes.
Kinley Harris and Natalie Wiram finished 7th and 8th respectively.
The HT Boys finished 2nd as a team on Thursday.
Mitchell Phillips placed 2nd overall with a time of 16:17.69.
Tristan Teer also had a strong event as he placed 3rd individually.
Thomas Himes also recorded a top-10 finish as he placed 8th overall.
Jack Pate finished 11th and
Brooks Maddox finished 13th to round out the team scoring.

The Huskies will now turn their attention to the AHSAA 7A Section 3 Meet on Thursday October 28. The event will be held at Veteran's Park. The eight team field will consist of: Hewitt-Trussville, Gadsden City, Hoover, Oak Mountain, Spain Park, Thompson, Tuscaloosa County, and Vestavia. The top four team will advance to the AHSAA State Championships.
