Hewitt-Trussville Junior Blakely Valdez was named to the North team for the 2020 AHSAA Tennis North-South All-Star Game. The announcement was made on Tuesday by Jamie Lee, Director of the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association. Across all classifications, only 20 girls from the state were selected. All all-star games scheduled for this summer have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Valdez played #1 doubles and #2 singles for the Huskies this year. She has played on the Varsity team every season since her 8th grade year.
