My name is Molly Cook, and I am excited for the opportunity to serve as the HTHS Head Swimming coach for the 2024-2025 season. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and how I came to hold this position. I grew up swimming competitively in Trussville for about ten years from the ages of 7 to 17. During this time, I made many friends and grew as a swimmer through the program at the YMCA, formerly known as STAC. My favorite strokes are Butterfly and Freestyle, but I also really enjoyed swimming the 100 or 200 IM, as well as any relay! I have taught Spanish at HTHS since 2011, and this will be my first time to coach an AHSAA sport, although I did serve as a Color Guard and Highstepper sponsor from 20011-2014. I am ready to help in any way I can this year to help your students grow as athletes and people.
I live in Trussville with my husband, Ben, who teaches choir at HTHS, and my three children, Emma Kate (12), Hannah (7), and Sam (6). We all share responsibility for three active dachshunds at home.
