Trussville City Schools is proud to welcome Jenny Williams to Trussville where she will serve as a HTHS English teacher and the Varsity Head Cheer coach.
Coach Williams has been a teacher and Head Cheer coach at Liberty Park Middle School since 2013. Coach Williams led the Liberty Park Rebels to multiple Alabama High School Athletic Association State Championship titles and several top 10 finishes at the National High School Cheerleading Championship. Williams has coached cheerleaders of all ages and levels since 2006 and brings more than 25 years of cheerleading experience to our program.
Coach Williams graduated from The University of Alabama in 2012 with a B.S. in English and Education. She is a 2008 graduate of Homewood High School where she was an AP Scholar and cheered for all four years.
Coach Williams stated, "I am thrilled to build on the tradition of excellence that the Hewitt-Trussville cheer program is known for, and I look forward to helping the awesome athletes of the HTHS cheer program accomplish great things for many years to come."
Trussville City Schools Athletics Director Lance Walker stated, "We are excited to welcome Jenny to the Hewitt-Trussville family! Our cheerleaders have consistently done a tremendous job competing and supporting other student-athletes. Our Cheer program has established a reputation of representing our school with pride. We look forward to supporting the team under Coach Williams' leadership."
There will be a meet and greet with Coach Williams on Thursday June 8 at 6pm in the HTHS Gym Lobby.
