Brandon Herring is entering his ninth year as the Strength & Conditioning Coach at Hewitt-Trussville High School. A former college football player at UAB, Brandon began his coaching career at UAB, where he coached from 2000–2006. He then spent eight seasons at Samford University from 2007–2014 before transitioning to the high school level in 2015.
Throughout his career, Brandon has been recognized for his contributions to strength and conditioning, earning the NHSSCA Alabama Strength Coach of the Year award in 2020 and the NHSSCA Southeast Regional Coach of the Year award in 2021.
Brandon has been married to his wife, Melissa Herring, for 24 years. They have two children, Max, 21, and Macy, 18.
