Shane Clay begins his 10th year at Hewitt Trussville Middle School. He currently teaches 7th/8th grade Medical Detectives. Currently, Shane is the assistant JV baseball coach, head 8th grade boys' basketball coach, and assistant 8th grade football coach. These responsibilities have assisted him in developing strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Shane graduated from Hayden High School in 1996. He lettered in football, baseball, and basketball. Upon graduation, from high school, he was awarded a baseball scholarship to play for Northwest-Shoals Community College. Shane proceeded to University of West Alabama where he attained a double major in both education and athletic training. Shane completed his education by obtaining a Master's in Education at UAB.
Shane and his family currently reside in Argo, Alabama. Shane has been married to his wife, Corrie, for 17 years. Together, they have a 12-year old son, named Canaan and 4-year old daughter, Judah, from Taiwan.
