"We found a way."

Coach Floyd's words to the team after last night's game said it all! Hewitt-Trussville battled through a tough game that included rain and THREE overtimes to bring home a 48–45 win at Oak Mountain!
An
Eli Abney fumble recovery set up an 88-yard scoring drive capped by a
Jack Floyd touchdown pass to
Jackson Martin. Floyd added a two-yard rushing touchdown before halftime, and
Harrison Malone powered in from one yard out in the fourth quarter. Tied 28–28 at the end of regulation, the Huskies kept fighting until they finished the job!
In the third overtime, the defense help Oak Mountain to a field goal.
Jack Floyd was able to seal the win scoring a touchdown from 10 yards out.
Last night marked the only three-overtime game in school history. Only a four-overtime game in 1979 lasted longer!
What a night. What a win. Way to keep fighting, Huskies!

Next week, the Huskies take on Thompson at home on Thursday night at 7:00pm.
