Cam Simpson had a hit and drove in a run. Tuesday's win marked the 700th career win for Head Coach Jeff Mauldin.
Mauldin, in his 12
th season at Hewitt-Trussville, has won 306 games as the head coach of the Huskies. He won 176 games at Pelham from 2007-2012. He began his career at Clay-Chalkville where he won 218 games. Mauldin becomes just the 6
th coach all-time in the state of Alabama to win 700 games. He is the youngest coach to ever reach the milestone. His winning percentage of 76.3% is the highest of any coach to reach 700 wins.
