The Hewitt-Trussville Boys Basketball team defeated Cullman 62-39 on Wednesday night in the championship game of the Mike Dean Turkey Shootout. The Huskies jumped out to a quick start and let 14-5 at the end of the 1st quarter. The Huskies scored 10 points in the 2nd quarter and led 24-17 at halftime. HT extended the lead to 13 points after the 3rd quarter. The Huskies put the game away in the final quarter as they scored 20 points in the final stanza.

Colt Wells led the team in scoring with 20 points. Ben Warren (13) and Rashad Rolley (12) were also in double figures. Dave Carter added seven points. Ben Warren, Colt Wells, and Cooper Langston were named to the All-Tournament team while Rashad Rolley was named tournament MVP.

The Huskies will return to Bryant Bank Arena on December 2 as they host Gadsden City.
