The Hewitt-Trussville Boys Basketball team defeated Huffman 58-55 on Monday in the opening round of the Mike Dean Turkey Shootout in Cullman. The Huskies trailed 11-2 early in the game, but cut the Viking lead to 25-22 at halftime. The Huskies continued to rally in the 3rd quarter to take the lead.

Colt Wells and Ben Warren led the scoring charge for the Huskies as they scored 14 points each. Dave Carter also scored in double figures as he added 10 points. Tyler Wilson added nine points and Rashad Rolley scored seven points.

The Huskies now advance to the tournament semifinals where they will meet Albertville on Tuesday night at 6pm.
