Coach Tonya Hunter's Girls Basketball team will go into the Christmas break after a solid performance against Pinson Valley. The Huskies won 82-38 on Monday night at Bryant Bank Arena. The 82-point performance is the highest scoring game of the season for Hewitt. With the win, the Huskies improved to 12-2 overall.

Following a loss to Madison Academy on Saturday, the Huskies got off to a quick start on Monday night. The team led 21-4 after the first quarter and continued to build on the lead throughout the night. Hewitt showed balance scoring as five players scored in double figures. London Coleman led the team with 18 points, Morgan Kirk had 16 points, Amiya Payne had 14 points, Erica Jones had 12 points, and Christina Till had 10 points.

The Huskies will travel to Thompson for a Christmas Tournament Dec 28-29. The team will be back at home on January 2 as Pell City visits.
