The Hewitt-Trussville Boys Basketball team opened the home portion of the 2017-2018 schedule with a 53-35 win over Center Point. With the win, the Huskies improved to 2-1 on the season.

Cameron Glover led the Huskies in scoring as he poured in 16 points. He scored seven of his points in the final quarter. Damon Harper continued his fine play as he scored 13 points. Bryant Howell also scored in double figures for Coach Marcus Thomas' team as he added 11 points. The Huskies scored 18 points in the second quarter to take control of the game.

This weekend the Huskies will travel to Leeds to compete in a holiday tournament. The teams will play on November 18, November 20, and November 21. Hewitt will open the tournament by playing Jackson-Olin at 4pm Saturday.
