The Hewitt-Trussville Boys and Girls Bowling teams will begin the 2017-2018 season on Thursday as they host Shades Valley. The match will begin at 4pm and will be held at SpareTime Bowling Alley in Trussville.

This season the teams will compete in 15 matches and two tournaments. In mid-January the team will travel to Tuscaloosa for the AHSAA Regional. In late January the season will conclude in Oak Mountain at the AHSAA State Tournament.

Head Coach Tommy Abney is eager to get the season underway. "I am thrilled about the upcoming season and I believe we have a great group of young men and women who are equally excited. With just one returning bowler from last year, we are looking to hit our stride early and make it into the regional tournament. We have a very competitive schedule and I look forward to watching our student athletes compete. The girls will play the defending state champion on October 30th and the boys will play the defending state champion on December 6. Both matches will be played at 4:00 PM at Spare Time in Trussville and I would love for the community come out and support our program."
